Examining ASEAN’s effectiveness in managing South China Sea disputes

For the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), South China Sea (SCS) disputes between and claimant states (Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei) are a major concern. However, dominant sceptics pessimistic about ASEAN’s effectiveness in managing these disputes. This article contributes to field by providing systematic analysis on this topic, which is missing within literature.
